History
Our History curriculum aims to develop children's understanding of the past and its impact on the present and future. By studying history, children learn about the diverse cultures, societies, and events that have shaped human civilization. The units align with the National Curriculum and cover key areas such as local history, significant events, and influential figures. Lessons incorporate engaging activities that promote critical thinking, empathy, and an appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. At the end of each academic year, each class delves into specific historical periods, ensuring age-appropriate content is delivered for a deeper understanding of history's relevance.
In Reception, History and Geography are integrated into the broader curriculum.
